Arrival by plane

In case of arrival by PLANE you will land at Fiumicino or Ciampino.
I remind you that the airports serving Rome are very far from the city center due to the extension of the city itself.

If the arrival is scheduled in FIUMICINO the following choices will be available:

  1. A direct train to TERMINI Station (the central station of Rome) and then a tram for the apartment, approximate cost per person 15.50€ (train and tram ticket). Travel time, approximate including train and tram waiting, 1 hour and 30 minutes
  2. A taxi for the apartment, approximate cost for up to 3 people with few luggage 70~75€. Travel time, waiting at the airport NOT included, about 45 ~ 55 minutes (surcharge for nightly, festive and extra baggage apply)
  3. An Authorized Car with Driver (NCC), Approximate Cost of Up to 4 people with luggage about 58~68€. Travel time about 40 ~ 50 minutes. (surcharge for nightly and/or bank holiday apply, solutions for more than 4 people available on request)

If the arrival is scheduled in CIAMPINO, the following choices will be available:

  1. A bus to the city of Ciampino, then a train to Termini and then a tram for the apartment, approximate cost per person 18€ (bus, train and tram ticket). Travel time, approximate waiting for bus, train and tram included, 1 hour 20 minutes
  2. A shuttle bus to Termini then a tram for the apartment, approximate cost for people 7€. Travel time, including waiting for buses and trams, 1 hour 45 minutes
  3. A taxi for the apartment, approximate cost for up to 3 people with a little baggage of 60~65€. Travel time, waiting at the airport NOT included, about 30 ~ 45 minutes (luggage and night and / or holiday surcharge)
  4. An Authorized Car with Driver (NCC), Approximate Cost of Up to 4 people with luggage about 58~68€. Travel time about 40 ~ 50 minutes. (surcharge for nightly and/or bank holiday apply, solutions for more than 4 people available on request)

Car Service

If you would like to book a car service (NCC), I can help taking care of calling the different companies to get the best price for your expected time of arrival, so I will tell you the exact fare in advance and you will have knowledge about costs without surprises, I will also give, if you allow me to do so, your number to the driver so that you can keep in touch if needed.
The driver will wait for you with a sign with your name outside the airport gate so you do not have to wait.
the driver will be informed with your phone number / whatsapp (if you agree with that) and flight number to check for any delays and be there at your arrival.

I need at least a 24 hours notice to try to help you with the car service
This is just a courtesy I offer to my guests and I’m not involved in any way in the payment process or the service itself, for this reason you will pay directly to the car driver the agreed fee.

Arrival by CAR

If you arrive by car or by other means of private transport, you will have to set “Via Alberto da Giussano 10, 00176, Rome” as the final address on the navigator.

Arrival by TRAIN

There are two main train stations serving the apartments:

  • TIBURTINA Station,  where High Velocity Trains arrives
  • TERMINI Station, the central station of Rome

When arrived in TERMINI Station exit at the left at Via Giolitti where you have to take the tram 5 or 14 towards “Gerani” or “Togliatti” to reach the apartment.

If you arrive at TIBURTINA Station you will need to take the Metro line B towards Termini and then take the tram (more informations in the directions from Termini)

TAXI

Taking a taxi from a station like Termini or Tiburtina, or from an Airport like Ciampino or Fiumicino can be an option.
– From airports can be more expensive than a car service.
– From termini the fare is between € 12.00 and € 18.50 (night and / or holiday surcharge may apply)
– Luggages other than the first costs € 1.00

ATTENTION:
– REGULAR Taxi in Rome are WHITE with a Roma Capitale banner on the side doors
– Always check the taximeter is working.
– When you take the taxi from a parkplace the meter must start from a fare between €3.00 and €6.50 (night fare) .
– If you call a Taxi to come to pick you up somewhere, the taximeter will start counting from the very moment it starts to drive toward your position. This can be expensive and out of your control.

Hints:

UBER

UBER in Italy can work only with Black Cars, that means only the NCC (Noleggio Con Conducente, the Car Service mentioned above) can be Uber Cars.
This is the reason why they can be more expensive than booking a car service by itself.

Please Note:
– Public trasport will end at midnight
– after 10pm (22.00) there’s a surcharge on taxi fees
– in case of delay not due to train or airplane delay will be applied surcharges as per house rules
– all the extras and city tax must be paid cash at arrival if not already paid in advance (ie.: the city tax is collected by AirBnB in the city of Rome)
